Lisa Marie Presley: her children deprived of their grandfather’s birthday

Lisa Marie Presley asked the court to allow her 11-year-old twins to go to their grandfather’s 85th birthday, Elvis Presley (died 1977), but his request was denied. The 51-year-old artist is entangled in the custody of her daughters with her ex-husband Michael Lockwood. According to information from the American site The Blast, she would have launched an emergency procedure so that the little ones could go to Memphis (Tennessee) for the anniversary-tribute.

On January 8, and although he was born on January 11, a big party in honor of the King’s birthday was organized with the appearance of Priscilla Presley and Jerry Schilling. It was therefore normal for Lisa Marie Presley to wish the arrival of her daughters, the twins Finley and Harper.

The Blast announces that the Los Angeles court had refused Lisa Marie Presley’s request, which was met with the refusal of the girls’ father. According to the rules established after the divorce of their parents, they have no right to fly outside the state without the consent of both or the approval of the court. The judge in charge of the case also considered that this trip to Memphis was not considered “an emergency”.

As a reminder, Lisa Marie Presley has been fighting against her ex-husband Michael Lockwood for the care of the twins for over three years. Married since 2006, they finally divorced after ten years of union. The judge however put an end to this war: in July 2020, they will have a month to find an agreement.
